What a Show
With the recent retirement of Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre, I’d like to share one of my favorite Favre photographs that I took while on staff at The Journal Times in Racine, Wis.
Here he is celebrating one of his record-setting 442 career touchdown passes during a 1998 game against the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field. You don’t need to see #4’s face to know what kind of expression he has. The body language says it all.
I’ve been in this profession for a few years now and watching Favre scramble on the field and use that rifle of an arm in games including an NFC championship as well as a Superbowl is one of the highlights of my career. It’s the opportunity of recording a piece of history like the amazing performance of a future Hall of Famer that drew me to photojournalism. – Jim
