Where Didn’t the Flood Hit?

On Wednesday I took a break from shooting the devastation and headed over to Guthridge Park in Hiawatha to shoot anything but the flood. Preschoolers were coloring with sidewalk chalk and I couldn’t resist taking some photos. I was surprised when they started drawing a roadway and coloring it in blue. “We’re drawing the flood,” said six-year-old Trent Partridge. I thought I was going to be free from the flood for an afternoon but it is clear that the flood has affected us all.
